Refunds & Returns
Clear. Fair. Compliant with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Overview
At E‑Rev Cycles we want you to be confident when buying electric bikes, scooters and dirt bikes from us. This Returns & Refunds page sets out how returns are handled, what you can expect, and how we comply with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Quick summary
- Return window: 30 days from date of delivery for change‑of‑mind returns.
- Faulty or not as described: If an item is faulty, you have rights under the ACL and we will provide a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
- Condition: Change‑of‑mind returns must be unused, in original packaging and in saleable condition.
- Refunds: We process refunds to the original payment method. See the Refunds section for timing.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to sales made through our website. For goods supplied by third‑party suppliers arranged via our platform, we will always work with the supplier to resolve returns and refunds promptly — we remain your point of contact.
Eligibility & exceptions
- Accepted: Unused items returned within 30 days with all original packaging, manuals and accessories.
- Not accepted (change of mind): Items that are clearly used, damaged by the customer, missing components, or personalised/custom orders (unless faulty).
- ACL exceptions: Faulty goods, items not as described, or those with major failures will be handled according to the ACL regardless of the change‑of‑mind rules above.
Returning a product — step by step
Refunds & timing
Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 2 business days of receiving the return and completing inspection. Depending on the payment provider and your bank, funds may take up to 5 business days to appear in your account. This aligns with our Terms & Conditions.
Faulty items & consumer guarantees (ACL)
If a product is faulty or not as described you are entitled under the Australian Consumer Law to a remedy. For major failures you may choose a refund or replacement. For minor failures we may offer a repair. We will never refuse an ACL statutory right — this policy operates alongside, not instead of, the ACL.
Replacement parts & repairs
If a minor fault can be fixed with a part or repair we will work with you to arrange a repair or to supply replacement parts where available. Where repair is impractical we will discuss replacement or refund options.
What if my item was delivered damaged?
If your item arrives damaged, take photos of the packaging and item, keep the packaging, and contact us immediately. We will organise a solution and can arrange a collection or instruct you to lodge a carrier claim where required.
