About the Thumpstar TSE 12L Balance Bike

A twist throttle or speed setting lets a parent limit how much help the motor gives as the child gains confidence. Closest alternatives by price: YCF 12″ Electric Kids Trainer ($799), Thumpstar TSE 12H Balance Bike ($849) and Thumpstar TSE16H Pro Balance Bike ($899).

Parents who want to introduce off-road riding gradually can use speed limiting features to progress at the child’s own pace. Consider the bike’s weight, since a child should be able to stand it up or lift it after a fall.

Thumpstar has 6 products listed, from $799 to $2,199.
