About the NCM Milano Plus

Because the frame lacks a straight top tube, designers add thicker or reinforced tubes lower down to keep it strong enough for the motor and rider. Closest alternatives by price: Eunorau META26 X2.0 ($2,399), Mokwheel Basalt Step-Thru ($2,799) and Aventon Soltera.2 Step-Through ($1,899).

Shoppers and parents making frequent short stops can step off easily while managing bags, a child on the back or a loaded basket. Test ride the bike while stopping and starting with a bag attached, to confirm the low frame feels stable and the motor starts smoothly.

NCM has 5 products listed, from $1,799 to $2,599.
